Mun Tampere is an online service produced by the City of Tampere where the residents of Tampere can participate in and impact the city of Tampere and its services.
By registering as a user of the Mun Tampere online service, you accept and commit to adhering to the website’s terms and conditions.
The City of Tampere has the right to make changes to these terms and conditions. The users registered in the online service will be informed about any potential changes.
Registration
Participation in the Mun Tampere online service requires registration.
Any private person, regardless of their age or place of residence, can register in the online service. Minors must have their parents’ permission for registration.
Associations and other groups can also register in the service in order to post ideas or participate in the discussion.
All citizens of Tampere aged 12 or older (including those turning 12 this year) are eligible to vote.
As a private person, you register in the service with your own name and a valid e-mail address. Impersonating another individual or using another person’s e-mail address is prohibited.
By registering on the website, you consent to publishing your comments and ideas under your own name and to these being used in the development of the city and its services.
By registering on the website, you also accept that the website administrators have the right to edit or remove any potentially illegal, offensive or inappropriate content you may have posted.
It is possible to register on the Mun Tampere website in the two following ways:
- by creating a new user on the Mun Tampere online service
- by using existing credentials of an external service provider (Google, Facebook)
All private persons who are citizens of Tampere and aged 12 or older (including those turning 12 this year) are eligible to vote. One of the following is required in the voting stage:
- online banking codes
- personal Wilma credentials
Participating
You can find information about the development of the City of Tampere on the Mun Tampere online service. You can influence the city’s development by commenting on the proposals made by others, discussing the topics and participating in the voting.
The ideas and comments that you post on the Mun Tampere website are public. By using the website, you consent to the website publishing and utilising your ideas and comments. You are responsible for the content of your posts and comments and for any other material you publish. On the website, you can only publish images and texts that you have the right to use.
The Mun Tampere website is intended for relevant and mature discussion and the opinions and ideas of other users must be respected. Illegal, offensive or inappropriate content is not accepted. It is also prohibited to post commercial advertisements and messages containing private individuals’ contact details or other personal information. If you find this kind of content on the website, you can report it to the website administrators. You can report content either by clicking on the flag icon next to the comment field or by sending an e-mail to the address mun@tampere.fi.
Discussion monitoring
The Mun Tampere online service is monitored primarily during regular working hours. The comments or other content published on the website is not checked beforehand. You can report inappropriate messages either by clicking on the flag icon next to the comment field or by sending an e-mail to the address mun@tampere.fi.
The administrators of the service have the right to remove or edit posted messages. The City of Tampere does not have criminal responsibility and is not liable for indemnification related to the content posted on the website.
Use of personal data and privacy policy
The personal data you have disclosed during registration will only be used for purposes related to using the Mun Tampere online service. Personal information is not handed over to third parties.
If you have registered on the Mun Tampere online service, you can view your personal information on your user account. From the settings of your user account, you can update your contact details and remove your user account, if necessary.
